The reason for this is very simple; they both are books that were at one time banned in the United States of America.Fahrenheit 451 was banned by the U.S. government for its explicit descriptions of violence in its dystopian society. While most books fall into the category of 'off limits' books due to content, books that were based on real life events or featured real life characters were considered different.According to the rules of the United States, a book which depicts violence or any strong language by its audience members was deemed as uncivilized and inappropriate. However, it was actually the original intention of this book to teach the young reader what violence means. In a similar fashion, at one time the U.S. had another government which considered the novel 1984 a threat to the American People. The government claimed that this book taught information that would lead to anarchy and created a fear among the population about being oppressed by the government. After it was banned in the United States, many books were written about the controversy which raged. While both of these original books had similar contents, in a way they differed in different ways. The basis of both books is essentially describing a dystopian society where people are oppressed by technology, while they are able to exist on their own society.Unfortunately, some books cannot be altered, even when they are being adapted to other media. Therefore, there is no way to completely remove anything from a copy of either of these novels, despite them being considered controversial and 'controversial' literature.Despite these books being banned in America, these works can still be found in many libraries in other countries. Some might be censored in the United States, but they can st ill be found in libraries around the world. The same applies to any arguments in argumentative essay topics.
